ABOUT Mrs. Williamson
Hello everyone!

My name is Bridget Williamson. I have worked at SAMS since 2014, and this is my second year teaching! I love to make math enjoyable and understandable for my students!
​
I have a husband, Jon, and a wild 4 year old boy named Mason! We also have a cat - KitKat that loves to track birds and squirrels!

My Philosophy
I believe that anyone can do math successfully! The biggest key to being successful is confidence! Our confidence in math (or lack of) makes us rethink our answers, or makes us too shy to ask for help. My job is to build your confidence in math! Also, math IS fun! I like to make math fun by using escape rooms and puzzles so that students get a hands-on feel!
History
I'm sure everyone here "hates math". Maybe even HATES MATH. Am I right? Well, I used to be one of those people. I HATED math when I was in school. I understood it at school, but not at home. Or I didn't understand it at school, but was too nervous to say anything. I fought with my parents, night after night as they tried to get me to do my math. Finally, finally, finally, when I was in high school, I had two wonderful math teachers who helped me to understand why math happened. And then it clicked. Now, I like math. I even love it!! It takes time, and lots and lots of patience!
